How do I change km/h to mph on an old model specialized bicycle computer?
The older model Specialized bicycle computer that I have has no markings or model numbers. It is about 1" tall and 1.5" wide. It only has two buttons, both are rectangular. One (the mode button?) is on the left side of the computer and scrolls through the different dispalys, ie: AVS, MAX, ODO. The other is longer and is along the bottom side. When held down it resets the display to zero and then goes back to the time of day. I've had this computer forever and it still works, just somehow the output was changed to km and I don't want to have to be constantly doing math on the fly to convert to miles. No luck searching Specialized.com for manuals for older model computers.
It's kismet! I found your question while searching Google for the very same information (because I have the same exact computer, and just replaced the battery and it was displaying in KM/h instead of M/h).
Anyway, I figured it out:
1) push the bottom button momentarily until ODO is displayed
2) push AND HOLD _both_ buttons for a few seconds
3) screen will be blank with KM/h blinking
4) push the bottom button to toggle between KM/h and M/h
5) push the side button to accept the current setting and exit the setup menu.
...good luck, and happy cycling!
